When are you launching?
Our first drop opens Tuesday 1 September — join the waitlist and you'll be told before anyone else. We cap each drop so we don't break our own propagation schedule, and waitlist members go first.
What does the waitlist gift include?
A copy of The 7-Plant Apartment Survival Guide (free PDF — the seven plants that survived our RV winters), plus 15% off the launch.
Do you sell bonsai?
Yes — from 1 September. Two tiers, and the difference matters. Starter trees ($89–$159) are hand-selected from a specialist grower and ship directly from them under our name, with our care card and our guarantee. Specimen trees are the five we've been growing ourselves for two to five years — named, signed, numbered, and not for sale until they're finished. We won't sell you a $1,500 tree before you've kept a $120 one alive for six months. Full story on The Grove.
Are your plants safe for pets?
Our succulents are. Echeveria 'Lola', Haworthia fasciata and Sedum 'Burrito' are all non-toxic to cats and dogs per the ASPCA — which is not something most popular houseplants can claim. If a pet ever eats something it shouldn't, the ASPCA Animal Poison Control line is (888) 426-4435.
How fresh is the coffee?
The actual roast date is stamped on every bag. Coffee peaks 7–14 days after roast — so plan to drink it that month. Whole bean only (pre-ground loses flavor in 24 hours).
How do I care for a succulent if I've killed every plant I've owned?
Start with our Single Succulent (Echeveria 'Lola', Haworthia fasciata, or Sedum 'Burrito'). Water once every 7–10 days, only when the soil is bone-dry. Bright indirect light. Most succulents die from overwatering — when in doubt, wait another day.
What if my plant arrives damaged?
Live Arrival Guarantee. Email hello@sipnsuc.com within 72 hours of delivery with a photo and your order number. Your choice: a replacement on the next Monday shipment, or a full refund. We answer within 2 business days. Full terms on our guarantee page.
What if it dies later?
The guarantee covers the journey. After that, email us anyway — most of the time we can talk you through saving a struggling plant, and that costs you nothing.
When do you ship?
Monday and Tuesday only. Plants don't ship later in the week — they'd sit in a warehouse over the weekend, which we won't risk. Heat packs included free November through March.
Returns?
For non-living items (ceramics): unopened within 30 days for a full refund. Living plants and food can't be returned for change of mind, but they're fully covered by the Live Arrival Guarantee above — photo and email within 72 hours and we replace or refund, your choice. Email us and we'll send you the return address and a label.
Where is the coffee from?
A small roastery — single-origin Latin American whole bean. We'll name them here and on the bag as soon as the partnership is signed. We're not going to claim a certification before we can show you the paperwork.
Where is the matcha from?
A small Japanese farm partner — first-harvest tencha, ceremonial grade, stone-ground in small batches. Partner details printed on the tin at launch.
Does matcha have caffeine?
Yes — about as much as a cup of coffee, roughly 60–70mg a serving. What changes is how it arrives: slower and steadier, without the drop. It is not a decaf alternative.
Are the ceramics dishwasher safe?
Yes. Microwave + dishwasher safe up to 350°F. Stoneware is durable but not indestructible — if yours arrives chipped, photo + email within 72 hours and we replace it.
Sip Box subscription — when?
Standard tier opens with the first drop. Premium tier opens about 90 days later. The first 100 founding members lock $99/mo for 12 months, with first right to renew at the founding rate — waitlist gets first access.
